Overview

In November 2022, at its 27th meeting, the CGPM adopted Resolution 1 On the report prepared by the International Committee for Weights and Measures on the “Evolving Needs in Metrology”, which encouraged the CIPM to develop a long-term vision for an international measurement system that addresses new metrological challenges.

The resolution includes in these global challenges climate change and environment, health and life sciences, food safety, energy, advanced manufacturing, digital transformation and countering global pandemics.

The CCAUV has organized an online workshop to address the challenges described in the Resolution from the perspective of the Acoustics, Ultrasound and Vibration community.

The workshop will focus on the following major points:

• Digital calibration certificates with a special focus on AUV
• Ocean acoustics and climate change
• Seismic observation networks
• Rotational speed metrology
• Calibration of MEMS
• Infrasound Measurements
• Infra-AUV project
