Deadline Extension for Poster Submissions – Celebrate 150 Years of the Metre Convention!
In response to overwhelming interest, the BIPM is pleased to announce that the deadline for poster abstract submissions for the 150th anniversary of the Metre Convention has been extended to 15 January 2025.
This extension ensures that researchers, scientists and innovators from around the globe have ample time to participate in this historic celebration of measurement science.
Why Participate?
As part of this special anniversary, selected posters will spotlight groundbreaking advancements and solutions in metrology. Lead authors will also have the opportunity to present their work during a high-profile event in Versailles on 21 May 2025.

How to Submit:
Abstract submissions (up to 500 words) must be in English and describe a metrology challenge, its significance and progress or future needs in the field.
Abstract Deadline: 15 January 2025
Accepted abstracts will require an electronic poster (PDF) and a 3-minute audio presentation (MP3) by 15 February 2025.
