BIPM–TÜBİTAK UME Project Placements: Cycle 7 Concludes

UPDATE

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the 7th BIPMTÜBİTAK UME project placements, marking another milestone in our Capacity Building and Knowledge Transfer Programme.

In this cycle, ten young metrologists from ten National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) spent 1-3 months conducting research in TÜBİTAK UME’s world-class laboratories, working on projects that contribute to the advancement of precision measurements worldwide. Their research spanned key scientific areas, including:

  • Advancing precision in healthcare measurements
  • Developing a Digital Twin of a Quantum Voltage Standard
  • Producing and characterizing a wastewater reference material
  • Exploring atomic clocks for modern applications
  • Strengthening techniques in mass, torque, ultrasound and thermometry

In addition to their research, participants took part in a CIPM MRA seminar, designed to reinforce their understanding of the international metrology system and strengthen global collaboration in scientific measurement.

Feedback from Cycle 7 participants highlights the significant impact of this initiative in fostering knowledge exchange, strengthening scientific collaboration and enhancing global measurement capabilities.
