At the second session of its 113th meeting in June 2024 the CIPM elected Dr G.P. Ripper as the President of the Consultative Committee for Acoustics, Ultrasound and Vibration (CCAUV) and Prof. R.J.C. Brown, NPL (UK) as President of the Consultative Committee for Units (CCU).

The CIPM made these appointments to replace Dr H. Laiz (CCAUV) and Prof. J. Ullrich (CCU), who had both stepped down from the roles.
